Established in 1956, Lategan & Van Biljoens has grown from a small household appliance spares and repair shop into South Africa’s largest and fastest-growing independent appliance spare parts importer and distributor.

 

For nearly 70 years, we have supported South African households, technicians, retailers, and service centres with reliable appliance spares, expert advice, and nationwide delivery.

In 1990, our repair division (Van Biljoens Appliance Services) was separated into an independent workshop. Since then, the two companies have continued to work closely together, while Lategan & Van Biljoens evolved into a pure-play national spares powerhouse, trusted across South Africa for our depth of stock, technical expertise, and long-standing industry relationships.

Today, we proudly operate with more than 65 permanent staff members at our Pretoria headquarters and retail counter. Our dedicated spares sales team, each with years of technical knowledge, assists thousands of walk-in and online customers every month — from homeowners to professional repair technicians.

National Distribution & Online Ordering

We distribute appliance spare parts across South Africa, supplying both wholesale and retail customers. In 2012, we launched our online spares catalogue, giving customers nationwide easy access to quality spare parts for all major appliance brands. In 2022, our appliance and spares websites were combined into one integrated platform – www.lvb.co.za – making us a true one-stop online destination for both appliances and appliance spares.
